An error occurred while saving the comment How did you install Screamer? Can you check your file permissions? If Screamer is not allowed to write the settings files it literally can not change anything. I find it strange you say the volume is 100% though, that is not the default (default is 40%), so it must have been able to save the settings file at some point.

An error occurred while saving the comment I generally don't comment on flamebait like this but this one time I will. To be absolutely clear, I have not sold the project or been paid in any way by anyone. In fact I don't make any money at all from Screamer Radio, the ads don't even pay the server bills any more.
The reason why there is no recording is simple, I haven't had the time or energy to put in the effort for essentially for no pay whatsoever.

What do you mean? Pls files are supported.
An error occurred while saving the comment Oh I see, loading playlists-files from disk is not supported since there is no support for playing local files (yet anyway). What is your usecase? Why do you want to be able to do this?

An error occurred while saving the comment This is a tricky one, I do support UTF-8 and do my best to detect character encoding. But some stations just seem to send broken data.
Do you know of a particular station where this happens a lot?
Hi, I see your point of view. I tried to explain my motivations in the release announcement here:

But to provide some additional context, the services running Screamer Radio and licenses I need cost me about 10 times as much annually as the ads have brought for the the past several years. In other words, I pay thousands of dollars a year out of pocket just to keep things running. I've also invested about 500 hours work creating this new version of Screamer Radio. I just can't keep giving everything away for free without getting anything in return. The other option is to shut it all down which would be a shame.
